The aim of the course is to allow learners to understand the roles and responsibilities of those involved in supporting teaching and learning in schools. In the understanding of this, learners will have the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to do this effectively through self-direction. The course prepares learners in the delivery of the curriculum through the perspective of the class teacher. The course seeks to further develop the learner’s professional and technical skills and knowledge of the importance of positive relationships within a school.
All learners on this course will be appointed to a personal tutor who will provide support and guidance throughout the completion of the course and such tutor will be contactable via email and phone. Learners are required to accumulate a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates their learning against each of the assessment criteria of the course. Portfolios are assessed by the tutor.
Overview: The Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification can be taken by candidates not yet employed in a school, as well as providing initial training/induction for those who are new to post.

Course Progression: Upon completion of this course, you will be suitably equipped to progress to level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
Entry Requirement: You need to be 16 years and over, have a good level of spoken and written English and an interest in supporting pupils in schools and motivate their learning. This course is available to learners from a range of different backgrounds. If you do not hold any previous qualifications you are still able to join this course.
Placement: We provide guaranteed work placement leading to employment in the Schools. Our associate schools are based in Greater London. Learners must be prepared and able to travel to our London based schools.

Unlike distance learning course we provide a centre base learning structure very similar to an institution for learning. Therefore, we have a time period of in class attendance; this consists of 3 weeks with our tutors. Then you will have 8 weeks to complete all assessments for your deadline date. We believe this structure of learning will help motivate our learners to complete their course within 3 months. For distance learning the learners will have 12 weeks to complete all assessments.
